On April 17, Jiangsu Southern Communications Technology Co., Ltd. signed a landmark agreement with China Telecom Jintan Branch to co-develop the optical cable industry’s first automated packaging workshop.

Attended by President Yu Rumin of Jiangsu Southern Communications and Deputy General Manager Chen Jie of China Telecom Jintan, the signing ceremony marked a milestone in smart manufacturing collaboration.

Leveraging 5G private network technology, the project integrates AMR robots, advanced visual inspection, and automated packaging systems to achieve end-to-end intelligent production—setting a new digital benchmark for the optical cable industry.

Moving forward, Jiangsu Southern Communications will deepen its commitment to digitalization through AMR robotic scheduling, automated line control, and visual inspection systems, aligning with national and industrial transformation strategies.
